MEET THE TEAM
The professionals in AAV’s key executive roles have more than a century of combined experience in the AV business, and are dependable, proficient and courteous … traits found throughout the company’s staff.

Mark Spinicelli is the Founder and CEO of several companies based in Orlando, FL, including American Audio Visual, Spinicelli Holding Corp., and The Spinicelli Foundation.  His career in the audio visual industry began in the 1970’s as a teenager working with a local vocal group, Life Unlimited.  Soon after, he formed his first Orlando-based AV services firm, Southwind, as technology began to revolutionize the industry.  Mark opened American Audio Visual in 1989 with the goal of providing cutting edge AV services at affordable prices.  The company began with a headquarters in Orlando and an office in Tallahassee.  With no formal training or education, Mark is a prime example of the American Dream becoming reality based on hard work and persistence. Today, AAV serves clients throughout the U.S. and abroad, and is often called upon to provide AV services in high-security political settings.  Mark has worked with every President since the late 70’s.  He serves on the Executive Board of the Central Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America and was honored with the Silver Beaver award in 2010.  He has also been named Associate of the Year by the Tallahassee Society of Association Executives numerous times.  With the AAV headquarters located in Orlando’s convention district, Mark developed the 9-acre industrial complex, The American Centre, which today is home to many industry-related companies such as entertainment, photography, floral and trade show services firms. Proceeds from this industrial and office park fund The Spinicelli Foundation, which supports projects benefitting the elderly and children.

He has worked with many charities, celebrities, corporations and associations throughout the United States.

Jim Duckworth grew up in Miami, FL and is a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He spent much of his early career in management in the grocery industry.  He was also spinning records as owner of a mobile DJ company where he was introduced to the world of AV.  Jim joined AAV in 1997 and today is Production Manager.  His job combines his management skills and AV expertise to oversee the intricate details of the company’s daily schedule, including equipment management and maintenance, advance preparation for installations, and organizing the teams for job sites.
